Arabic

Clearly understanding the Arabic language from a young age is incredibly important and beneficial as it will enable students make the first steps in understanding the Quran. The Arabic language is taught to our senior classes.

During lessons, students are given practical examples of the grammar and vocabulary that they're learning from the Quran, Ahadith and spoken Arabic to ensure maximum benefit of the lesson and to also merge the Arabic with relevant Islamic knowledge.

Each student is given the opportunity to read to the teacher many times per lesson, and all the students are also asked questions to keep the lesson interactive and to monitor their understanding of the lessons being taught.

Madinah Arabic Reader is from a series of books (1-6) derived from the original set of 3 Madinah books. The content of the books is nearly identical to those they are derived from except that these books are better for children through the use of colour and also having Harakat (fathah, kasrah, dammah, etc.) on words making it easier to read.

About the Book (From Publisher)
Professor Abdur Rahim’s texts enable the student to acquire a knowledge of Arabic in the classical structural form. All of the books teach essential language skills through applied grammar. Each lesson is based on a conversation which illustrates distinctive language patterns. A variety of exercises helps the student to understand and master each of the patterns occurring in the lesson. The vocabulary ranges from classical and Quranic Arabic to words and expressions current in modern Arabic. This series of books is currently being utilized at various schools to prepare students for the University of London (UK) GCE O-Level and A-Level examinations.
